Bayside Secondary School is situated on Highway 2 between Belleville and Trenton. The Bayside community extends from the western boundary of Belleville to the eastern boundary of Trenton and to several concessions north of Stirling. Students from the elementary schools of Frankford Public School, Stirling Senior Public School and Bayside Public School join Bayside Secondary in Grade 9. As well, BSS is the region’s secondary French Immersion school. French Immersion students from Harry J. Clarke and from across the regions attend BSS to further their studies in French.
Our grounds have wooded trails, extensive playing fields, a quarry and a shoreline on the Bay of Quinte. With this campus, we are able to offer a comprehensive Outdoor Education program including a 4 credit, Ecobound, experiential program.
We have an active School Council at the school. Our School Council Chair is Mitch Lauzon and he can be reached at This email address is being protected from spambots. At BSS, we have many partners in the community. We have many companies and institutions that support our Coop and other programs and we thank these partners for their support. Students and staff actively raise funds to support local activities and charities. Relay for Life, 30 Hour Famine and Free the Children are some of the national and global organizations that the BSS community supports.
We have over 30 International students who attend the school. A number of our Bayside students participate in short and longer term exchanges with students from across the school. We celebrate this international diversity at the school in many ways including the display of flags from different countries in our front foyer.
